Technology has verbatim changed business towards a Human-to-Human marketing model (Human-centric technology).

Artificial intelligence

Marketers embrace technology to get closer to their audience, know their myriad habits, and gravitate to patchwork of online solutions that gives consumer simple and, good experience and shorten their purchase process, especially that potential customers have short attention spans.

The human-to-human model had found when the machine has learned the artificial intelligent and achieve human work and conversation efficiency and effectively in a particular time to reach both business and people’s goals.

Chat-bot Originally is a dialogue system that could have purposeful interaction with a human through text or speech. The term “chat” has come to refer to non–goal-directed interaction, the way two people might talk to each other at a gathering or party.

Text recognition chat-bot

Bots have become a popular form of automation. A bot is a software that you program and build to carry and perform a set of actions all on its own. Bots are usually cheap to program, set up, and run {you don’t need to know how to code}.

Think about it, if you walk into a store, you may or may not start up a conversation unless an employee offers help, then you’re going to respond. Text chat-bots start the conversation with users, introducing themselves, and ask relevant questions.

Businesses give chat-bot a name, personality, character, language, and identity. Letting the customer believe that the respondent is a human while actually, it’s a software robot.

If a bot asks the right questions, it carries the real face-to-face conversation and helps people make decisions. You find text chat-bots usually floating on the platform’s right or left bottom corner.

One way that chat-bots get personalized is to provide “quizzes” or a series of questions. The idea is to present the user with a series of options, and the results based on the user’s choice.

Does your business need a Chat-bot? Here are bots’ popular actions

Increase engagement by starting a conversation with users. It turns basic ads into a conversational model (two ways communication). Communicate with website visitors like a super casual conversation should be. Some people may be willing to tell chat-bots sensitive information.

Personalize the user experience and get to know your users better, by tracking data of previous individuals purchasing patterns and search keywords for future use, display relevant products in the next visit, and being proactive by re-targeting with new collections or recommend similar items/services.

Organize your customer service team, save their time, and directing efforts. Bots will do the initiative and apply a set of actions of what it has learned. Employees will put effort into a productive task that needs a human brain and insights.

Consultant and personal assistant, who will offer you help in finding your desired product, track your order, research an article in an online platform, and many more…

It’s an inbound marketing, where customers tell the business exactly what they need, why they need to buy it, and where to improve exactly.

Bots might ask users to fill a survey, get demographics and psycho-graphics, to find out information about your customers, subscribe to a blog, cross-selling and up-selling products or services, did you think about other applications for bots?? Share your knowledge in the comments below.

Benefits are plenty. Businesses using text chat-bot for customer service record by receiving the information, store it and export it later on. Get customer feedback reviews, needs and innovate their service, when different customers ask similar queries, it means, business needs to relocate and apparent the service to efficiently drive sale and people will spend more valuable time on your platform rather than leave quickly and perhaps not come again.

Some businesses prefer to receive a call or email from their customers, so it’s a business decision to apply chat-bot or not based on the vision and objectives.

Think outside of the box when you’re building a chat-bot for Business. Two examples for famous brands:

Voice operator assistant

Virtual assistant; Siri by Apple, Alexa by Amazon, Microsoft’s Cortana, and Google assistant is artificial intelligent speakers chat-bot and voice recognition technologies, give solutions and direction to humans by voice.

Siri and Google Assistant, I would call them merely an information access system to save time in finding what you need. It allows you to call someone in your contacts, figure out what the weather is, or learn how to get somewhere or get information about something.

Apple and Google added some smart and funny replies, like putting in answers to questions like “Will you marry me?” or “what’s your favorite color?” or “where are my shoes?” If you have a few hundred of those, people start thinking, “Wow, she’s genuine.” Alexa has more skills by connecting devices, but it’s fundamentally the same thing (AI and machine learning).

Alexa is more advance; it takes time to learn its owners’ habits and builds up a schedule of their routines using their smart devices, paying attention to days like sunrise and sunset, weather patterns, and even the changing seasons. It can control several smart devices using itself as a home automation system, like, switch on and off the TV at bedtime, lights, and curtains announce the family when food is ready or inspire you in your bad days. It can guess what you might be thinking of — or what you’ve forgotten to remind you of it. Reorder packages, purchase on your behalf and track your order by giving voice notifications, and much more.

Futuristic vision in my imagination; I imagined one of these voice operators developed the bot to remind and encourage me to check out a new collection of a jewelry or clothing brand, where I purchased an item two months ago. Or, a sale on my most searched bags brands (SEO re-targeting), and remind us of school fees, passports renewal and dog annual vaccine..

Robots doing humans tasks efficiently; cook, advisor, and semi doctor.

Covid-19 has rapid the race of technology to apply social distancing and a non-human touch of anything of life activities to reduce the virus spread. Tech-savvy countries used robots for that humanitarian purpose, where hospitals used robots to advise patients, ask questions, take measurements and have a virtual session with doctors through a screen, and diagnose patients in moments (video for Metra doctor robot in India)

At the beginning of the pandemic, people were quarantined in hospitals, so robots help deliver meals to the patients according to each case to maintain social distancing. And some restaurants and coffee shops used robots to cook food and prepare coffee for customers (check coffee maker video).

White Castle restaurant in the USA employed robots to automatically prepare meals when the waiter “human” take the customer’s order and place it into the system. A robot will start to prepare the meal without human intervention, and all that human employee does the customer service. (watch video in this article)

In Japan, one of the retail shops has employed a robot to guarantee customers are wearing masks and gloves and ensuring social distancing. (watch video)
